Title: Breakthrough
Location: Burnham-on-Crouch
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had intended to take a trip to Maldon for the annual Mud Race today, but I got half way there and the traffic was silly, so I detoured to Burnham instead. The sun came out as I walked along the promenade, breaking through the clouds. I took a few pictures and then enjoyed a nice cup of tea and a toasted teacake in a little café looking at the water.

Title: Dusk Over Hylands
Location: Widford, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: After being cooped up writing documentation for much of the day, I nipped out for a little while this afternoon to chase the sunset. This was from Widford Church, looking west over Hylands Park – a nice spot for sunset watching.

Title: Menacing Clouds
Location: Little Leighs
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: At least I managed to get out and about today! After a meeting in Great Leighs, I stopped off briefly, not far from the site of Day #687’s image to take a picture of the big, billowing clouds on the horizon.

Title: Rainbow’s End
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 75-300mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I was doing more house-blitzing today, and having turned out a load of rubbish from varioius cupboards, I headed to the tip with a carful. Just after I’d unloaded everything the heavens opened, so I was lucky to avoid a soaking. When I got home I saw this rainbow from my study window – I wonder if the neighbours have a pot of gold stashed somewhere? Perhaps they should turn out a few cupboards too!

Title: Canal Sunset
Location: Paper Mill Lock, Little Baddow
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I spent the morning doing lots of server admin type jobs such as backing up databases, upgrading WordPress and making sure files were backed up. By early afternoon, I was going a bit stir-crazy and headed out to the canal at Little Baddow to catch the last of the decent light. Sorry its rather similar to yesterday’s picture, albeit a different location.

Title: Mind The Gap – Redux
Location: Near Highwood
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I spent quite a while driving up to Leeds this afternoon, and went out towards the M11 via the A414. I decided to take a picture at the same location where I did Mind The Gap on Day #197. I’ve been meaning to return to it for a while, but the light has not been right, or I’ve not had time to stop. It’s quite a different look to the previous shot.

Title: Flaming Trees
Location: Navestockside
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: This afternoon was lovely and warm, and the sun came out while I was out for a short walk. The evening light picked out the trees against the blue sky.
