Title: Rest A While
Location: Battlesbridge
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had to go to the antiques centre at Battlesbridge to pick something up for Christmas today. One of the shops there sells old garden furniture, so I took a wander around and spotted this lovely table and chairs, casting a shasow on the wall. Shame I didn’t have too much time to sit and rest a while…

Title: See The Light
Location: Stock
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: One of Ken Scott’s pieces of advice from his talk last night was: “look for the light and pictures will follow”. Wise words. I was in Stock for a Christmas Lunch today, and having arrived a little bit early, took a quick walk around the village to find something to photograph. I looked for the light, and found my picture!

Title: Fryerning Shadows
Location: Fryerning, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had an errand to run in Ingatestone this lunch time, so took the opportunity to have a quick walk near Fryerning Church while the sun was out. I rather liked the shadow of this tree against the bare brown field.

Title: Triangulation
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I enjoyed a walk just north of Blackmore this afternoon, and picked a load of wild blackberries to eat this evening. But sadly the weather was cloudy and very windy, so there weren’t any photographs worth showing from that trip. However, I noticed this rather nice shadow at home – good job I snapped it as an “insurance” shot, before I went out.

Title: Fancy Facilities
Location: The Strand, London
Camera: Canon Ixus 850IS compact
Notes: I was in London today to see a friend’s new photographic studio, which he’s just moved into. And afterwards, I went on to the London Photography Meetup Group get together at The George on The Strand. I have been meaning to go along for ages, but it’s only just coincided with a trip to London. Anyway, outside I was admiring the Royal Courts of Justice, and took a few shots before going into the pub. But I also liked the look of this fancy scrollwork surrounding the entrance to the underground public loos.

Title: Film Noir
Location: Ingatestone
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: The Camera Club meeting this evening started with a walkabout in the High Street. This was the last shot I took before we re-convened in the hall to take a look at our pictures.
