Title: Crisp Afternoon On The River
Location: Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation, near Ulting
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Despite having a bad back, I managed a walk along the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation this afternoon. I started off from Hoe Mill Lock and went to the church at Ulting and back. It was a marvellous autumn day, with clear blue skies, bright sun and people messing about in boats. A lovely atmosphere all round.

Title: Dry Dock
Location: Wivenhoe
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I went to Wivenhoe to visit my parents today, as it’s their Wedding Anniversary. We had a lovely walk in Wivenhoe Park and then down by the Quay. This is part of the (relatively) new housing development where an old shipyard used to be, with the old dry dock which has been made into a feature - largely filled in now, but with a small amount of water left to give some nice reflections.

Title: Pavillion Puddle
Location: Brighton
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I travelled down to Brighton this afternoon ready for a conference tomorrow and over the weekend. It was great to catch up with some friends who I haven’t seen for ages. We took a walk around the town, dodging the heavy showers. This puddle was reflecting some of the Pavillion’s minarets quite nicely. A lot of the building is currently in scaffolding, so it’s a bit difficult to get a decent shot of the whole thing.

Title: Elizabethan Reflections
Location: Audley End
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: After a 4-hour meeting in Saffron Waldon today, I managed to spend a little time at Audley End this afternoon. And the sun came out for me!

Title: Bow Wave
Location: Little Baddow
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I spent an enjoyable couple of hours this morning taking a walk along the Chelmer & Blackwater Navigation from Paper Mill Lock to Little Baddow Lock. I took a photo for Day #6 near this location, but it’s surprising how different it looks a few months later.

Title: Chestnut Tree Cottage
Location: Great Warley
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I managed to grab this picture during a brief period of sunshine this morning, on my way to Upminster for the Camera Club’s Digital Day. I took the cross-country route from Brentwood via Great Warley, where I stopped for ten minutes for a few shots. I thought that this one fitted nicely with the week’s theme, Framed.
