Day #344Title: Rainbow Refractions
Location: Upminster
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I went along to Upminster Camera Club this evening, to meet with Sarab365, Dave Wilcox, TimAHowell and Jeff Oliver, fellow 366 folks who have managed to get this far. We were all there to hear Ken “Touchingthelight” Scott give a slide presentation – inspirational as usual. I hadn’t managed to get a picture during the day, so this was a quick grab of one of the Christmas decorations adorning the community centre hall.

Day #274Title: Rainbow Feathers
Location: At home
Camera: Canon Ixus 850IS compact
Notes: Nothing much to photograph outside today, the weather was pretty miserable. So I dug through the props box and found some colourful feathers to play with instead.

Day #230Title: Going Up In Smoke
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes:
I did some experimentations photographing smoke today. All a bit tricky, but I’m quite pleased with this one.

Day #154

Day #154Title: Rainbow Puddle
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: Distinct lack of inspiration today, not helped by the miserable June weather. I use old CDs as coasters at home, and spilled some water on one this evening – which then caught my eye with the distortion of the rainbow pattern.

Day #104

Day #104Title: Rainbow Pews
Location: East Bergholt Church
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: The weather was sunny and blue when I woke up, so I spent a pleasant Sunday morning pottering round Flatford Mill, a place I hadn’t visited in 15 years or more. When the crowds got too busy, I decided to head to East Bergholt to photograph the Bell Cage at the Church. But the clouds were rolling in, so I went inside for a quick look around after the service had finished. It was still overcast, apart from about 20 seconds as I looked at one of the side aisles, when wonderful rainbow light came through the stained glass windows at the top of the main nave and illuminated the pew ends and flagstones. It was so fleeting, I managed only three shots before the light was gone for good.

Day #76Title: Enigma V
Location: Devil’s Dyke, Sussex
Camera: Canon Ixus 850IS compact
Notes: It had been raining for much of the day, and I was stuck inside at my conference, so I hadn’t had much of a chance to take my picture for today. In the evening, I had the pleasure of meeting up with a fellow Flickr-366er Erasmus T, at the pub above Devil’s Dyke. We had hoped there might be a good sunset, but it was just grey, wet and windy! However, this caught my eye on the road outside, so I took this quick snap with my compact camera. Here’s Erasmus’ take on it.
