Title: Icebergs
Location: Hylands Park
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: We had a pathetic covering of snow first thing this morning, which soon turned to sleet and then melted. After lunch, things perked up a bit and the sun came out, so I made a quick excursion to Hylands Park for a walk to see if I could get any photos. There’s a pond in the middle which still had large chunks of ice floating on top, despite the weather actually feeling warmer today than it did when I was out on my trek yesterday. But that could have been down to the thermal long-johns I was wearing!

Title: Down By The Pond
Location: Writtle
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I spent a lovely day exploring various parts of the 22-mile footpath, the Centenary Circle, which rings Chelmsford. It was pretty cold and windy, but the sun was out most of the time and I got some great pictures. In fact, I had trouble choosing which image to use as The One for the day. The duck pond at Writtle won.

Title: Boreham House
Location: Boreham, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had to pop over to the Parcel Force depot in Boreham this morning to pick up a package, and took the opportunity to stop at Boreham house for a quick picture. I liked the muted tones of the day and thought sepia suited the mood rather well. Compare this with Ken’s version of the same location from a few weeks ago!
