Day #311Title: Wet Pavements
Location: Lincoln’s Inn Fields
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I spent the day in London visiting former colleagues for lunch, and then at another friend’s studio during the afternoon to take some images for possible use as Christmas cards. Sadly, the results weren’t partcularly good – we completely failed to light a pudding – and our painting-with-light efforts turned out a bit paltry. Then I went to the London Photographers’ Meetup Group drinks in The Strand for a couple of hours this evening. This image was taken on the way back to the tube, when It took a detour around some of the back streets on my way to Holborn.

Day #264Title: Snail Trail
Location: Shoreditch
Camera: Canon Ixus 850IS compact
Notes: Day 2 of Scriptingenabled was in Shoreditch. I arrived quite early, thanks to the hourly train service from Essex, and decided to walk from Liverpool Street to the venue in Kingsland High Street. This weekend is also London Open House, which I’ll be missing as I’m otherwise engaged, but I did get the opportunity to take pictures of a few buildings on my walk – there was a lovely sunny atmosphere at 9am. Just as I was approaching my destination, I looked down rather than up, and was rewarded with this cheeky bit of graffiti painted on the pavement. It made me smile.
