Title: Icy Morning
Location: At Home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I woke up to a very heavy frost this morning, which is always good for a few pictures. I took some other shots in the garden, but I liked this one of the car best.

Title: Icebergs
Location: Hylands Park
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: We had a pathetic covering of snow first thing this morning, which soon turned to sleet and then melted. After lunch, things perked up a bit and the sun came out, so I made a quick excursion to Hylands Park for a walk to see if I could get any photos. There’s a pond in the middle which still had large chunks of ice floating on top, despite the weather actually feeling warmer today than it did when I was out on my trek yesterday. But that could have been down to the thermal long-johns I was wearing!

Title: Abstract Light
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: A bit short of inspiration, time and natural daylight today. But I did sit in my office wondering what to photograph. I looked up, and thought… “ah!”

Title: Fractal Food!
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: I’ve been fascinated by Broccoli Romanesco ever since I saw Erasmus T’s picture of it on Flickr ages ago, but haven’t been able to find any in the shops unti yesterday. So this morning, I decided to have a go at some still life, lit by natural sunlight from the window. Seems too good to eat, doesn’t it?

Title: In The Eye Of The Beholder
Location: South Farm, Shingay
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I attended an excellent conference today, run by WiRE, at a farm just north of Royston. It is also used as a Wedding venue from time to time. One of the decorations in the foyer was a huge vase stuffed with peacock feathers. So I took the opportunity to sneak a photo during the lunch break.
