Title: Coming Out Of My Shell
Location: At home
Camera: Canon Ixus 850IS compact
Notes: Slogging away at my desk all day. The promised sun never materialised. By about 9:30pm I was short of ideas, so I had a play with a few shells I have at home. Then a bit of post-production fiddling with Photoshop. Sorry it’s not very inspired today.

Title: Nature’s Telephone Cables
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: Sunny when I woke up, so I went into the garden and played for a few minutes before breakfast. These are two tendrils of the Passion Flower which grows around my garden gate. It looks a bit sad at this time of year, but some of last season’s growth made some interesting patterns in the morning sunlight. I like the way the top spiral has grown one way, then back on itself; it reminds me of how curly telephone handset cables used to get in such a mess!
