Day #295Title: Fryerning Shadows
Location: Fryerning, Essex
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I had an errand to run in Ingatestone this lunch time, so took the opportunity to have a quick walk near Fryerning Church while the sun was out. I rather liked the shadow of this tree against the bare brown field.

Day #235Title: Elemental: Earth
Location: Mill Green
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes:
Back in June, I took three images on the theme of the Four Elements, but I realised I missed out Earth. Ever since, I’ve been looking for a decent ploughed field to photograph - I wanted the freshly-tilled earth. Today I found some.

Day #214Title: Summer Meadow
Location: Near Royston, Herts
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes:
I stayed near Cambridge with friends last night, and decided to cut across country on the way home to see if I could find any pictures. As I was motoring down the A10 just south of Royston, I saw this meadow from the road. I was just cursing the lack of places to stop when a lay-by hove into view. A few yards back, I found a convenient gap in the hedge, but had to negotiate a steep ditch and a patch of stinging nettles - rueing the decision to wear cropped trousers - before I was able to get into the field. But it was worth it as this vista opened up.

Day #186Title: Stand Out From The Crowd
Location: Ingatestone
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes:
Exploring the fields around Ingatestone for today’s picture, I liked the way this ear of corn did its own thing, and really stood out from its neighbours.
