Notes: I’ve been really busy preparing a presentation for a meeting tomorrow, but managed to find the time to have more fun with everyday objects. This is the top from a water bottle with a sports cap. Add a desk lamp and you get some great patterns and shadows.

Notes: Another grotty day, I wasn’t feeling particularly inspired. It got to past 9 o’clock in the evening and I realised I hadn’t taken anything, so I turned to my reserve ideas list. It suggested these two bottles on a shelf in the kitchen, and I discovered the spotlights were casting nice shadows of their contents on the wall behind. I think they are meant to be edible, but I just keep them for show – they have interesting lines and shapes, and give the kitchen a spot of colour.
