Day #352Title: Viva Italia!
Location: Linton, Cambridgeshire
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes:
I had meetings in Linton and Cambridge today, and it was a lovely blue sky day so I took the camera out with me for five minutes at lunchtime. I found some fairly routine shots of old buildings around Linton, and was resigning myself to using one of those when I happened to see a new little Fiat parked on the street. I first noticed the badge on the front grille, but was stopped in my tracks by this tricoleur on the side – with some great water droplets to add some more texture. The sidelighting was hitting it at just the right angle.

Day #347Title: Icy Morning
Location: At Home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I woke up to a very heavy frost this morning, which is always good for a few pictures. I took some other shots in the garden, but I liked this one of the car best.

Day #344

Day #344Title: Rainbow Refractions
Location: Upminster
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I went along to Upminster Camera Club this evening, to meet with Sarab365, Dave Wilcox, TimAHowell and Jeff Oliver, fellow 366 folks who have managed to get this far. We were all there to hear Ken “Touchingthelight” Scott give a slide presentation – inspirational as usual. I hadn’t managed to get a picture during the day, so this was a quick grab of one of the Christmas decorations adorning the community centre hall.

Day #342Title: Enigma XIII
Location: Liverpool
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: Bit short of inspiration today, so I present you with another Enigma.

Day #328

Day #328Title: Icebergs
Location: Hylands Park
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: We had a pathetic covering of snow first thing this morning, which soon turned to sleet and then melted. After lunch, things perked up a bit and the sun came out, so I made a quick excursion to Hylands Park for a walk to see if I could get any photos. There’s a pond in the middle which still had large chunks of ice floating on top, despite the weather actually feeling warmer today than it did when I was out on my trek yesterday. But that could have been down to the thermal long-johns I was wearing!

Day #326

Day #326Title: Abstract Light
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: A bit short of inspiration, time and natural daylight today. But I did sit in my office wondering what to photograph. I looked up, and thought… “ah!” :-)

Day #309Title: Light Trails At The Mill
Location: Moulsham Mill, Chelmsford
Camera: Canon Ixus 850IS compact
Notes: Another long day in front of the computer, with largely grey skies outside. But I went out this evening to a meeting at Moulsham Mill, which had some attractive blue fairy lights on the outside. I decided to try a bit of artistic camera wobble, and this is what came out.
