Day #351

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

Day #351Title: White Christmas
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I have been stupidly busy all day, and singularly uninspired when I did get five minutes to myself. So you’ll have to put up with a picture of my little white tree!

Day #349

Sunday, December 14th, 2008

Day #349Title: A Curly Quartet
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: Messing about with some candles this evening.

Day #336

Monday, December 1st, 2008

Day #336Title: Catch A Note
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: I got home from Sheffield in the afternoon, but didn’t find anything inspiring to photograph on my journey. Then I got busy doing various jobs at home. It wasn’t until around 10pm when I remembered I’d not taken a picture. Mild panic! I found this paperweight and did a quick shot. Sorry it’s not very creative, but I really was too tired to do anything more original.

Day #330

Day #330Title: Carpe Diem
Location: Danbury
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I tooka quick trip over to Little Baddow and Danbury at lunchtime for some pictures. There were quite a few good ones to choose from, but this one struck a chord for the sentiment, as much as the fantastic lichen texture and glancing sunlight, which I found in the churchyard at Danbury. “Sieze The Day” is a good motto, and one thing I’ve learned from doing this project is just that: if you can, sieze the opportunity to take a picture whenever you are able, as it’s often these chance occurrences that produce some of the most memorable images. There are only 36 days left in total now. That’s just one roll of film, for those of you who remember celluloid!

Day #324

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Day #324Title: Fractal Food!
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 50mm EF f/1.8 + 12mm extension tube
Notes: I’ve been fascinated by Broccoli Romanesco ever since I saw Erasmus T’s picture of it on Flickr ages ago, but haven’t been able to find any in the shops unti yesterday. So this morning, I decided to have a go at some still life, lit by natural sunlight from the window. Seems too good to eat, doesn’t it?

Day #320

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

Day #320Title: Cabernet Shiraz Refractions
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 24-105mm EF f/4 L IS USM
Notes: I didn’t manage to get out early today while the sun was out, so had to settle with an indoor shot for today’s picture.

Day #315

Monday, November 10th, 2008

Day #315Title: Curvy Cat
Location: At home
Camera: Canon EOS 30D / 17-85mm EF f/4-5.6 IS USM
Notes: Totally miserable weather outside all day. But this week’s 366 theme is Animals, so I thought I would take a still life of this glass cat sculpture.
